In the Beginning was the word.....

Album Club was devised by my mate Chris Giles and me, Adam Smith back in March 2013. We both are total muso-nerdos (sorry Chris!) who thought there was a place for listening to a whole album, whether that be on vinyl, on tape (!C30, C60,C90, Go!)or iTunes, iPod...whatever. Music takes time to listen to. Albums can be growers! Shuffling is fun, NEXT'ing is desperate! What happened to listening to the WHOLE thing? When did we ever get so lazy? The technology that we love so much made this possible. So we thought...what about a group that sits down (preferable where beer is available) and talks about an album or two, as Chris and I enjoyed so much when we used to share an office together. I think partly it came out of missing that link too. There are book clubs, why not and Album Club? And so we gave birth to the first (by Royal 'Trux' Appointment) to ....ALBUM CLUB.
